Research Project
My research focuses on the study of the death / survival intracellular signalling pathways that are activated in response to noise exposure. I am analyzing two experimental situations: noise inducing a temporary threshold shift and noise inducing a permanent threshold shift. The project includes the study of the contribution of the different intracellular compartments to the apoptosis of the sensory hair cells, and therefore to hearing loss.
