Collaborators

Research

Our research involves important collaborations with several colleagues at the University of Michigan and at the MRC Mammalian Genetics Unit at Harwell, England.

  • Kate F. Barald, Ph.D., Assoc. Prof. of Cell and Developmental Biology, is our collaborator on developmental studies in the chick and mouse. She is an experienced developmental neurobiologist who is also involved in studies on ear development in the chick.
  • Richard A. Altschuler, Ph.D., is Director of the Auditory Anatomy Laboratory at the Kresge Hearing Research Institute and Prof. of Otolaryngology. He collaborates on our studies on noise exposure in mammals.
  • Yehoash Raphael, Ph.D. is an Assoc. Professor of Otolaryngology and our collaborator on regeneration in the chick.
  • Mark Machonochie, Ph.D., is a mouse geneticist in the MRC Mammalian Genetics Unit at Harwell, England. He is a collaborator on our experiments designed to identify differentially expressed genes in the chick following noise trauma.
